Why the name Manasi?

Some stories are written not in ink but in courage. In August 2015, in the mist-covered forests of Tangdhar, Manasi a devoted Labrador from the Indian Army’s tracker unit sensed danger and pulled her handler, Bashir Ahmed War, toward infiltrating militants. A fierce exchange of fire followed, and both Manasi and her handler fell, their bravery foiling the infiltration and saving many lives. She was later honoured with a Mention in Despatches, her name forever among India’s silent heroes.
